Individual self: belief about our unique personal traits, abilities, preferences, tastes, talents and so forth. People tend to describe self as something they learned about themselves by experiencing and going through something and getting to know each other. Relational self: are beliefs about our identities in specific relationships. Based on how our relationship with others goes, we define our relationship based on that. Aspects of the self may change depending on the situation. Working self-concept: a subset of self-knowledge that is brought to mind in a particular context. Distinctiveness: we highlight aspects of the self that make us feel most unique in a given context.
