Document Summary
Psychology chapter 10: development as bell curve (dumb to smart then dumb again) What"s interesting: the uniqueness of human infant b/c no other animal is born helpless (hardly depend on parents) Animals give out a bunch of kids. Turtles put a lot of eggs, and it leaves and then it tries to survive through thr complications. We are extreme, have a lil child, and have every child survive and teach them everything, a lot of investment is done to raise because infants are pathetic, it depends on parents a lot. We must have social bonds (parents should take care immediately in an extreme way) When women are becoming mothers, there is a real struggle because there is a lot of pressure when taking care of the infants. We are more pro social, b/c we helpful: a lot of physical development occurs prior to birth, & it continues until long thereafter.
