In tight communities like harlem, people tend to make their own language (slang) Math problems using nickels, pennies, etc. but kids in harlem used other terms for money so they didn"t understand the problem itself. Rewrote iq test in jive and black kids did way better than the white kids because they could actually understand the questions. Way to conduct test without the problem of not understanding language. Nd the next part of the pattern, gets harder as you go on. Philip rushton interested in intelligence, most people disagree with his claims and the basis of them. Overarching claim looked at 3 racial groups (black, white, asian), put them on 2 continuum (intelligence and sexuality), blacks are most sexual, whites 2nd, asians least (asked weird questions) and intellectually, it was the reverse.
