Operant conditioning is almost always the basis for all animal training (thing dolphin example) Successive approximation -> changing reward system in operant conditioning to make behaviour more specific and specific. Fixed-ratio -> an organism can be rewarded after making some set number of responses leading to behaviour bursts. (rat + pellet example -> pressing the bar 4 times before reward comes down)
