Celibacy: enormous restriction on intimacy lead to self-selection of those not interested in sex, covert violation of celibacy among consenting adults, incidence of child sexual abuse (6% of priests) Weeding out priests by doing a test. Having a job that requires celibacy is a hard job. Abuse destroys trust (stage 1), induces shame (stage 2), guilt (stage 3), inferiority for not protecting self (stage 4), perversion of intimacy (stage 6)
