America english in schools so children can learn the difference. But it was later stopped because people thought it was a movement or way to teach the kids african american english. When africans were brought to the us they only spoke their tribal languages. They were brought as slaves and were sent to the southern states, where there were white people who were their masters. But these white people spoke non-standard southern american english.
