Document Summary

We have done a poor job of classifying small organisms. When we are starting to do with species that we find now is that we are selling off the naming rights to the company that will pay the most. The numbers of species that we have are not stable: some haven"t been discovered yet, many species are becoming extinct. The amount of species that are going extinct are increasing @ a drastic rate change. Golden toad is the first species thought to go extinct due to climate. Habitat loss: the complete removal of habitat of organisms. Overexploitation of species: ex. over fishing by humans. Even if not extinction, a definite decrease in population: over harvesting. Hunting animals for a small part of their body. Climate change: it is really hard to point to climate change to be a single cause of species extinction. The only time this was through was for the glodern frog.
