Document Summary

Crisis of identity - she"s two ppl at once - in the beginning of the text she"s quite conventional (clear conventional education), and then gets to wonderland where she has no idea who she is anymore. Starts off as a conventional child educated in a moral framework and ends up in a romantic wonderland. She"s snobby - refined sense of her class and her place in society. Romantic nostalgia for child"s imagination (similar to green gables) Alice"s sister has her own sort of dream -- So she sat on, with closed eyes, and half believed -- she can only understand. She has a rational interpretation of alice"s dream. The rattling teacups are the dream version -- But also invites the child to think. Logical fallacy (fallacy of the inverse) - she sees its not labelled posion and decides it must be safe to drink.
