Document Summary
Water crowding indicator: defined as the number of people sharing a unit of water. As indicator increased there will be an increase in the water stresses and pollution. Withdrawal to availability indicator also known as the un indicator. Defined as the ratio of annual water withdrawals to annual water availability and uses the threshold levels to define level of stress this indicator focuses on how counties are using endowment of natural water. Data quality: requires water use as well as water availability timing: different regions have different relationship with annual and dry season water availability. Appropriateness of water use: the wta indicator takes as a given the current levels of water withdrawal without giving us any indication as to whether these levels are appropriate. Most counties are in the no scarcity category. More countries are water-scarce wta indicator than by the falkenmark indicator.
