Document Summary

Cns -> (a) brain (b) spinal cord 2. Stimulate 1 somatic/motor neurone that ultimately sends nervous signal to bicep muscle 2. Inhibit another neurone that ultimately sends nervous signal to tricep muscle -> 1. Tricep muscle relax => hand move up (c) stimulate interneurone -> send signal to brain -> let cerebral cortex know stimulus. Sensory receptor: monitor int (e. g. blood pressure, gas in blood) & ext (e. g. Cm: charge i. e. membrane potential - -ve @ inside (cuz many -ve charged anion e. g. protein, aa) vs +ve @ outside -> altered from axon hillock to synaptic terminal = action potential. Nerve cell = neurone -> neurones + neurones = nerve @ pns // nerve: collection of axon -> cell bodies found @ ganglia or nuclei. Synapse/synaptic terminal = axon of presynaptic cell + dendrite of postsynaptic cell; site of nervous transmission from 1 neurone to another/ cell to cell communication.
