About strucutirng nad resocialing indivldicals so that their dialy opporunties are geared towards the instutiton. Nothing to do with being nice to prisoners. Criminals are not pillars of society, do not follow rules very well. The whoel instutition is designed in such a way to make sure the crminals are stayed compliant. It is problem: tend to focus on the conditions of confinement of inmates. In canada, vast research is on the federal level. Most of the prisoners are in the provincial system. Concerns of burnouts, over use of force is not something that they want to do.
