Socio - psychological explanations: people can die from being heartbroken, extreme anger can cause cancer, body and mind are related according to research, mind: expectations, feelings, perceptions and thoughts, psychosomatic illness = Short term, medium term and long term stress. Final outcome depends on: you evaluation of stress trigger point, available coping mechanisms, degree of control felt, amount of social support available.
