Carceral governance: is an act of exercising sovereign authority pertaining to prison. Sovereign; state shapes the lives of people relating to prison. Carceral governance: how people are governed, includes laws, who shapes it, the regulation that shapes everybody"s everyday lives through everyday interactions. Carceral politics: broader, can be attitude or social norms. No matter what we do, if it is against regular norms, you get put at risk of criminalization. Governance of bodies: what bodies need to be under state control as deviant, undesireable bodies, that need to be governed and punitive by the state. Eugenicists frames: refers to the science of pruning undesired bodies from the general population. How can we encourage population to not exist or exist less (happen through genocide) people who reproduce too much (migrants) Race, gender, disability and class aka intersectionality is the facilitation behind how this all happens.
