Is class ascribed (born with) or achieved (earned) In canada we do not have an official, agreed upon definition of poverty. Absolute: a measure of the ability to be able to afford nescessities. You either make x amount of dollars or you don"t. You either can buy bread or you cant. Where do you stand compared to others in terms of income.
