Interaction: in terms its self presentation, groups of two, larger groups, networks, bureaucracies. To ignore interaction is to individualize behavior not looking at how an individual behavior might relate to other individuals in that setting. 6 degrees of separation everyone is connected by no more than 6 people. Network analysis: social network: a bounded set of individuals who are linked by the exchange of material or emotional resources. Networks have advanced and became more socially acceptable social networking. Social analysis interested in community and connections people have to one another. How many ties people have to people and the influence that has on their life (achievements, opportunities, etc) Strength of weak ties has become a sort of corner stone" more likely to get a job: weak ties are more diverse, strong ties are limited (family knows the same through weak ties people you know)
