Document Summary

Midterm: four 15 mark questions - one from each lecture & 40 multiple choice questions - 10 from each lecture. We will learn about self, speci cally concepts that go into self-consciousness and hopefully more introspection about yourself. The goal is to get these two aligned through introspection and perception, and you will be much happier. Self-concept clarity: through development, emphasis is less physical (5 year-old would describe themselves as that they like ice-cream) and more mental, some have a clearer sense of self than others. The higher the score is, the better self-concept clarity you have. It is really important to know why you do things that you do: people low in self-concept clarity: They are much less aware of their internal states. Rumination: chronically (you cannot help yourself, you are not doing it on purpose but you cannot stop) self-analyze; and involuntary negative form of self-focus associated with threat or uncertainty.
