If you make it through birth it is very unlikely to die within the first 20 years. Average life expectancy is increasing as the years progress. The dip near 1940 is because of the war. Participants started in middle age and then were followed across time and calculated how many participants passed time. Women live longer than men regardless of smoking or weight. Non-smokers are 60 % more likely to live 40 years after the study. Smokers are at a 42% of surviving after 40 years. People who weigh less have a higher likelihood of surviving than those who are obese. Gifted children do not live much longer than the general public. People who had higher conscientiousness had a 10% higher rate of survival. Could be related to risky decisions etc. Probability of a 20 year old dying at a given age and petting and spooning.
