Document Summary
Lab 3 - dream analysis based on a jungian dream analysis technique described in: sockin, brian s. (1990) According to sockin"s book dream log (1990), the first step to interpreting dreams is to write down one"s recollections of the previous night"s dreams in a journal each morning. People who do that generally notice some consistencies in the people, Places, things, and events about which they dream. Similarly, certain themes or issues will occur repeatedly. Sockin classifies dreams into eight categories: random associations, interpersonal conflict, fear/phobia, questions/curiosity, unfulfilled desires, trauma, physical change/illness, and invention/creative, macro analysis - the emotion and plot line. Events: --- describe the major action or event in this scene, --- does this action remind you of any situation in your life, conclusions and potential resolutions. Summarize the dream with all of the descriptions and connections made so far. Tell me about a time (or the last time) you felt this way.
