There are unseen forces that energize human behaviour called motivation. Motivation refers to the moving force that energizes behaviour: direction or goal of motives working towards moving away from fears or toward, strength of motives. Temperature motive appropriate temp needed for body temp. Excretory motive need to remove waste from body. Activity motive need for optimal level of stimulation and arousal. Aggression motive tri(cid:272)ky (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause (cid:449)e do(cid:374)(cid:859)t k(cid:374)o(cid:449) if (cid:449)e are i(cid:374)here(cid:374)tly aggressive, we are a very barbarian species (torture each other for fun, mass murder, war, torture, etc. Could be inherent: psychosocial needs (not as fatal as biological) Dominance motive need to influence/control others. Play motive need for fun, relaxation, amusement. Affiliation motive need for social bonds. General needs on a scale from actual biological needs to more specified not so important needs. We are motivated by what our parents and society think and want.
