Written for people who worked long hours at a hard job. Capitalism is one of the greatest economic forces (they praise it for its superior productivity) given us. Godlike powers, has gone global in its aspirations. If your goal is to have widest range of consumer choice, then you are not capitalist. Capitalism is an economic system which is designed to make highest number of things for lowest price. Cannot fundamentally transcend capitalism in regards to consumerism. No need for change if you want to buy things. One of the most destructive forces on the planet. One of ironies pointed out is that capitalism is revolutionary. Systematically destroying the old, keeps the relentless machine feeding and producing. Heaven of capitalism: las vegas, based on gambling, cheap to get to, overcoming nature (putting fountains in deserts). Vegas (where homeless, where robbing and murdering each other) Follows no other goal than to producing more capital (no ethics)
