Relationship between one"s sense of self and means of communication. Language develops according to the needs and interests of an individual. Multicultural identity is a sense of in-betweeness that develops as a result of frequent or multiple cultural border crossings. Gender involves personality traits (ex: being competitive), role behaviours (ex: taking care of children), physical characteristics (ex: having broad shoulders) and language (ex: vocabulary and communication styles)
