Rcmp test; took a sponge hit a car seat to replicate blood splatter, calculated the area of origin of the area of impact. Forensic anthropology; pubic symphysis (gives an age estimation) Structured light scanners: depth sensors, fringe patterns, how the light falls across an object recreates a surfaces geometry. Structured dots: high wave lengths are thrown out across a surface, infrared lights find the dots set by the wave lengths, and coloured light shows where they are. Photogrammetry: light, drawing, measure, take a bunch of pics, and produce a 3-d model, tire impressions, faces, 3-d documentation.
