Week 2 Lecture 4: Graphic Marks (May 16, 2018)
Things to consider in a design:
●Personality of the design/design elements
●What is it you're trying to communicate? What attributes/qualities does it have?
●How can you communicate this idea visually (quickly and legibly)?
●What artistic direction/style is most appropriate?
○ie. Thin lines, Positive/Negative Shapes, Light or Dark
●Clear direction (ie. Bold lines, thin lines)
○Exaggerate what you're trying to communicate
●Application of simplification and abstraction; More specification is needed
●Attempt to achieve a finished look; Clean lines and shapes
●Good use of shapes and lines and form; Good resemblance
