They don"t construct their own meaning, we construct the meaning based on our ideas. The way that language work in communication depends on a two way flow (sender and receiver). Both act around the concept to socially construct meaning across an object. Some of the things being said about journalism today: Technologies are in place to deliver us information rather than the use of print. Journalist can be quite biased and nosey. Some say we"re in the golden age of journalism - there are more places for skilled writers to demonstrate. Quick posts (ie. tweets, facebook post etc. ) Some social medias provide information for buzz or popularity. A lot of logos is used to path a way for journalism over pathos and ethos.
