Emoji are intended to illustrate, or in some cases replace altogether, the words we send each other digitally, whether in a text message, email, or tweet. Have become an ever-evolving cryptographic language that changes depending on who we are talking to. Unicode: an international programming standard that allows one operating system to recognize text from another. It allows for emoji"s and even text messages to be exchanged between an apple device and an android device. Pictograms: a pictorial symbol for a word or phrase, pictographs were used as the earliest known form of writing, examples having been discovered in egypt and mesopotamia from before 3000 bc. Ideograms: pictures or symbols that represent an idea or abstract concept, examples. The person-in-a-wheelchair symbol that universally communicates accessibility.
