In contrast, asian avoid including floors with the number 4 because of its association with death. I am interested in the question of how we came to them (beliefs) in the first place, and how we hold on to them in the face of no evidence . The mind concept: concept of mind involves assumption that there is something more than just the brain, leads to things like placebo effect, something beyond nature, beyond the biological, consider this: brain is a collection of neurons. The brain: brain is wired to seek patterns and find supposed causes for phenomenon, we are always looking for the reason why behind what happens cause and effect, allows us to believe dubious claims to give us closure.
