For example social status is determined though distance from the chief: criteria for determining degrees of closeness, organized by principle of nepotism. Nepotism is favoring friends and relatives when it comes to jobs. In canada you are expected to be treated evenly, but when they go to other places they see that nepotism is the law in other countries.
