Social anthropology - studying society, social relations, social structure. But simplistically, culture is about what people think and society is about what people do (everyday social behaviours). Culture is one of anthropology"s long standing occupations. In 1952, there were two authors who claimed. 2nd: it is commonly attributed to culture in that it is learned; in other words, culture is not inborn or biologically determined. Culture is something we learn from the people around us. 3rd: it is said to be passed on through generations. When babies are born, they have to go through a process of learning. 4th: culture is supposed to be shared and stable. Contains a system of belief, knowledge, and values. 5th: culture is based on symbols and symbolic systems; often complex. 6th: it is about meaning, and how meaning is attributed. 7th: it is said to be public, because meaning is public.
