The idea that there is something essential within us that makes us what we are. The key to who i am resides within me. If the similarities and differences we consider to be natural are not, they are the products of society and culture according to anthropology. Humans share certain things with each other but they also differ from each other in things like race, gender, etc. What are the forces that produce these differences between humans and where do they come from. Nature- we are born a certain way, nature makes us what we are. Nurture- we are who we are from our culture, we learn who we are. Humans are similar and different because they learn them not because they are born that way. Cross cultural comparison- look at people from all around the world to see how people live, their similarities and differences.
