Neural organization and cranial capacity show encephalization in homo from hominins. In homo habilis there is a major jump in cranial capacity from other species, which will continue to increase drastically to humans (*will be question on cranial capacity general trends on exam) Second major trend through genus homo is reduction in dentition. Think of humans as end product big head but small teeth. Diversified diet with small teeth due to our technology. 3 homo trends: encephalization, reduction in dentition, tool technology.
