Man is suicidal b/e of racing thoughts negative symptoms: flat effect (no emotional response, flat) Second man, delusional that people are wiring him up (nasa, stanford etc. disorganized thoughts/speech. Woman, delusion: persecutory, negative symptoms: asociality, suicidal, loss of attention, hallucination: auditory she"s probably histrionic rather than schizophrenic. Third man: delusion: guilt or sin, takes other drugs, grossly disorganized speech (tangentiality can"t get from point a to point b), loose association, negative symptoms picture has a headache . Some of the most creative people in our world are schizophrenic, b/e can manage their symptoms but yet draw from the loose associations and free their brains to become artists, authors etc. Brief psychotic disorder=sudden onset but is very brief, need to keep track of duration before prescribing drugs. We don"t see her mania b/e she"s on meds. Normal for them to sacrifice food and sleep. Frequency of manic depressives can differ, amplitude (intensity can vary)
