Proven not to stop people from committing crime but does deter in a way because it stops the person from committing more crime. Karla faye tucker: rehabilitated, helped a lot of other inmates on death row and to get an education and such but still put to death. If people were close enough to blasts it causes brain to crash against skull creating brain damage. Collateral damage: the pain the families suffer because of the loss of a loved one. Technology alienation: no one had to detonate the bomb.
