This is a symptom in human beings, you could be walking down the street and your heart rate could lower very fast. It isn"t something you want but it is something you can practice. The heart can be signalled to slow down by neurotransmitter. Ach is the neurotransmitter that is responsible for this. Otto lowei: he found ach, he took two hearts of a frog, one was to be stimulated. The flow of fluids between two beakers could be transferred. Heart #1 was connected by the vagus nerve, it is parasympathetic. If the vagus nerve is connected to the heart it is there to calm the heart rate. When he stimulated the heart via the vagus nerve, the heart rate was reducing. The second heart on the other hand, it also has a diminishing heart rate.
