Coping: strategy/effort we make to deal with stress situation can be adaptive or mal-adaptive eg. drinking alcohol is mal-functioning way to cope with stress. *used if the problem can be solved/fixed can add emotional way to cope as well. Emotion-focused coping: forming emotional aspect to fix the problem. Change the way i view the stressful situation. Learning: there are always something to learn within every stressful situation we face at try to focus on the healthy lesson. Learned optimism: transition from pessimistic to optimistic learn to be optimistic that leads to good healthy life. Humor: find humor in my mistakes laughing is a good source to lower the stress level significantly. Perceived control: how i receive/view the stress is very important. Like a muscle-if you develop, then it will grow & self-control can be deficit like muscle after finishing anything stressful loads.
