Amplitude of the wavelength determines the brightness of the colour. Transduction is the conversion of one form of energy into another. 130 million rods and cones: mostly rods. Cones are concentrated in the centre of the retina (fovea) Rods increase visual sensitivity when in dim light. Axons from the ganglion cells converge and leave the eye on the nose side of the retina. There is a hole in your retina where there are no receptor cells.
