Cognitive neuroscience - the interdisciplinary study of the brain activity linked with our mental processes (including perception, thinking, memory, and language) Dual processing : the principle that information is often simultaneously processed on separate conscious and unconscious tracks. (kind of like we know more then we know) Blindsight : a condition in which a person can respond to a visual stimulus without consciously experiencing it. Sometimes your unconscious knows what you"re doing before your consciousness. (it arrives late to the decision-making party) Unconscious parallel processing is faster then sequential conscious processing. Parallel processing: the processing of many aspects of a problem simultaneously; enables your mind to take care if routine business and for processing many functions.
