Nietzsche begins his analysis of history by considering animals. This is because it would lead to the degeneration of human kind. Animals cannot remember and therefore live entirely in the present; they have no historicity. Humans, however, have a memory, so while our happiness. Nietsche: the greatest horizon is one that is consciously created. Nietzsche: history as the science of universal becoming is true but deadly.
