Legitimacy - codes, norms and values that justi es wether something is right/wrong and legitimate/illegitimate ! Forms: traditional - hereditary and the rules of the game are sanctioned as ancient traditions. Already set norms and you conform to these rules. Charismatic authority: based on the extraordinary individual leadership that displays prophet like traits. Legal/rational authority - code of rules and laws that provide legitimacy. Unitary state - the most centralized form of state and have more than one level of government, but the central government can have power to separate powers. Federation - within a federation there is a division of power because it is written in the constitution! Confederation - a union of states that come come together in a federation that join their sovereignty together to create common institutions. One representative for every state, being 28 states. There is a direct separation of powers from the legislative and the executive!
