The real issue is people like to shop there. Contradictory human behavior people who don"t want a wal-mart in a village are the ones who actually shop there. Wal-mart comes into a small town and takes business away from local stores. Wal-mart is successful because people like to shop there and prices are cheaper. The same people who are against wal-mart and value their small town culture shop their. This an instance where business conflicts with culture. People believe that wal-mart is taking over the culture of small towns, but in reality what value does culture really have because people are still enjoying cheap products. It"s a great place to live in if you don"t like. Culture becomes less important when money is involved . Many people criticise when new a new business comes into a town . The world has come to the point where globalization (world) is becoming americanised because american businesses are globalizing rapidly.
