It is commonplace for people to states that one cannot compete and act ethical at the same time. (cid:523)it"s kill or be killed(cid:524) Human in general is struggle to survive. Self interest is root in state of human. Only regulation can stop the (cid:498)state of nature(cid:499) (cid:523)ethical is powerless(cid:524) Business" fails are not because of acting ethical. According to thomas hobbes: self interest + unethical behavior = state of war. Thus, regulative and law infrastructure between nations is needed. The theory is mistaken: unethical behaviors are acceptable for competitive necessity. Companies argue that sweatshop labor is essential for competition. Corporation and the political: corporation is not separated from politic wrong as it opens door for human right violation. The sullivan principle is put in africa for corporation to defy apartheid. Black workers receive equal pay and human rights treatment. Union is recognized and living condition is improved.
