It cut out a lot of people. They limited it to people whose death is imminent. If you"re eligible to receive healthcare from the canadian government (don"t want suicide tourism) At least 18 years old and capable of making their own medical decision (no mature minors allowed) They have a grievous, irremediable medical condition. They have made a voluntary request for medical assistance in dying that has not been influenced by an outside pressure. They will need to give informed consent. The agreement to get medical assistance in dying even after being made fully aware of all possible treatment options, including palliative care. Have a serious and incurable illness or disability. Their natural death has become reasonably foreseeable. You need to have two independent witnesses.
