He empirically observes (3 views of good life): sensual (pleasure), political, thought. Sardanapallus (life of luxury)- rock star (insult, derogatory term ! If you only live for sensual pleasure, you"re abusing yourself because you"re treating yourself. Not living life according to who you are (human) ! like an animal. Political: honor is the general end of political life. (respected and relevance) Wrong: nature of honor- it is not a good goal.
