Hospitalization: more critical patients because large shift to outpt treatment therefore the ones who are hospitalized are the most sick. How to minimize loss of control: parents very key in normalizing the hospital experience, self-management older patients are able to take a larger role in care (ex. Meds, arranging appointments, managing sx: increases qol via normalizing care experience and not feeling loss of control.
