Patient-centered care: be culturally sensitive when taking vital sign measurements. Vital signs require removing clothing or exposing areas considered inappropriate of offensive in certain cultures. Be sensitive to patient"s needs for privacy; provide such when performing apical pulse assessment, especial females and elders from asian, middle eastern, hispanic and african cultures.
