Universal declaration of human rights rights we have as human beings no matter status, situation, etc. doesn"t cover stuff of certain groups; need separate convention. Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. Adopted standard rules on the equalization of opportunities for persons with disabilities in 1993; and convention in 2006: disability is defined with ecological model, un convention came into force in 2008. Several obstacles that restrict them from receiving education, getting a job even when they are well qualified, access information or health care, transportation, fitting in. Achieve full and equal participation for ppl with disability. Global framework need to change and improve attitudinal environment barriers in education, access to health care, access to food and clean water, affordable housing, basic hygiene and sanitation, economic empowerment; how ppl"s needs change. Mercy killing no consent from daughter; someone made a conscious. Killed his daughter who had cerebral palsy to end her suffering decision.
