If enter into workforce, many services cut (social assistance) If never been or not in workforce, cannot claim ei benefits (when off work) Few small businesses hire people with disabilities: 3 in 10 hired in 2013; and 69% had never hired a person with either a visible or non-visible disability. Remains an issue even if over 75% of respondents declared that their employees living with disabilities met expectations (62%) or surpassed them (15%) Many employers see them as less energetic and less enthusiastic as younger candidates or worry that they"re simply killing time until retirement.
