Teacher is very educated, but favors facts vs opinions. Dickens objects to when education is based on definitions and facts rather than opinions, imagination and experience. Children were stripped of their imagination and wonder. Gradgrinds are caught snooping near the circus. Louisa defends tom jr. and stands up to her father (her first time)
