• There is no class Monday (we will not be doing the makeup class that is on Saturday)
• Next Wednesday is the midterm
• Think of it as a two-hour test
• No lecture after
• You will write one essay on a given topic – two texts will be needed
• HINT: all the questions will be on literature, madness and or desire- different ways of thinking
about desire- experience- translation through experience- what was the point of the short
stories- what devices were used in them? Question of the body- core porality
• If you are up to date on your readings and pay attention you are more than good
• Midterm is 100% open book!!! Not testing memory- testing what you think- however no use of
technology- make sure notes are written
