Fou(cid:272)ault says if you do this e(cid:374)ough, you"ll get a pretty (cid:272)o(cid:373)plete picture of dominant power forms and ways of thinking. Serfs and peasants were the lower class. Nobles govern their serfs in a very peculiar way. Offering reward, guidance etc. in exchange for good behaviour. Churches and religion were huge at this time dominant institution. They understand and then make an effort to tailor penance. Bespoke good thing, hand made and tailored to the individual.
