Cycle of abuse, different sections become smaller and smaller and then eventually it is just the abuse. Battered women"s syndrome (lenore walker): uses the content of learned helplessness and the cycle of abuse. (ie. Like dog in cage that always gets hit, will accept the hitting because he can"t do anything about it) = is in dsm.
